	Hilari Fleming, MD, PhD Neurosurgeon One of just a handful of female neurosurgeons in the West, Dr. Fleming specializes in the treatment of tumors that impact the brain, particularly pituitary tumors. In addition to her training in the non-invasive CyberKnife radiosurgery system, Dr. Fleming is one of the only surgeons in the region experienced in vagal-nerve stimulation for the treatment of seizures. She earned her medical degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Fleming also holds a Ph.D. in genetics from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where she was a National Institute of Health pre-doctoral fellow. A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, she is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the National Board of Medical examiners, and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and its joint section on Tumors and Trauma.
