	John Ganser, MD Vascular Surgeon Dr. Ganser specializes in thoracic surgery, bariatric surgery and general surgery. He is certified through the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons. He received a bachelor of science in pre-medicine from the University of Nevada, Reno, and received his medical degree in 1989 from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Ganser completed a general surgery residency in 1995 at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, and a fellowship in general thoracic surgery through the Royal College of Surgeons at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham, England, in 1996. After working with the General & Vascular Surgery Clinic in Portland, Ore., he returned to Reno to practice in 2000.
