	John Hansen, MD, FACS Vascular Surgeon A driving force behind the creation of Saint Mary's Vascular Institute and a cum laude graduate of College East Carolina University, Dr. Hansen received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1996. A residency in general surgery at Memorial Medical Center, Greenville, S.C., was then followed by a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Hansen holds numerous other credentials including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Instructor of Advanced Trauma Life Support. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
